Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Good morning my husband and I decided to get divorce . My husband lives in jamaica. While i was over there for vacation in febuary i was served with the papers.I signed it right away. I think the papers went back to to court . Does that mean the divorce is over. If so how long will he get the papers back.

If he filed the case in Jamaica, you will have to check with the courts there to determine the case status. If he filed in NY, it is fairly easy to check on the case.
