Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Wife's rights.

My husband had a kid 4 years ago, before we met, with an ex girlfriend. He pays child support which is too high. Now she wants me to pay her money! What are my rights? Can't I have my kids with my husband in peace? Can't I have my banking account, can't I work and have my own money that she has the right to my money? I don't understand that!!! Please, help...
