If you marry a U.S. citizen, he will be required to petition you for U.S. Legal Permanent Residency (greencard). Proof of his U.S. citizenship is required for that petition, so he is going to need to obtain a duplicate naturalization certificate or U.S. Passport first.

If you are approved for U.S. Legal Permanent Residence, then you can apply for U.S. citizenship (naturalization) three years after being approved for such status, as long as you are still married to him, or are married to another U.S. citizen (if you divorce your husband-petitioner before then).
