Do you have an attorney representing you for the injuries you sustained in the accident? The independent medical exam (which is far from independent) is a tool used by the insurance companies to determine whether or not to continue your treatment. Even if their doctor deems additional treatment is not medically necessary anymore it doesn't mean that you have to stop treating. Only you and your medical doctor can determine that. Your doctor's bills for the treatment after the cut off date will not be paid, HOWEVER, they can arbitrate/litigate those denials by submitting his/her own medical records right about the same time as the IME rebutting those findings and concluding that additional treatment is warranted and necessary. I would be happy to give you an absolutely FREE consultation. Please email me at [email protected] with your contact information.

Yours truly,

Michael Krigsfeld, Esq.
