Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

Can an employer post date a pay roll check? Every pay day my check is post dated sometimes up to five days. I want to know if it is legal to do this.

No. It is an attempt by your employer to have sufficient funds on hand so that your check clears and does not bounce.
