Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New York

Wrongly diagnosed several times

My son has Asperger's Syndrome, but has been wrongly diagnosed in NY years ago with ADHD, Bipolar, Conduct Disorder and whole bunch of them which has interfered with treatments, meds causing him to wet his bed, confused my child, over and under medicated him for over 10 years of his life. Not to mention it caused us embarrassment, hardships financially, institutionalized my son for 3 yrs, affected my other kids tot he point where they were traumatized, ( which could have been avoided) The current Dr says he doesn't have any of those diagnosis and has Aspergers and possibly learning disabilities that were over looked. What can I do legally do? Since most of this came about recently when we moved back to NY and asked for old medical diagnosis records and found that Drs ignored the Aspergers syndrome diagnosed with at age 8 originally. What can we do to be compensated for all the trauma to my son and the rest of us? I even divorced over this and the depression it caused us all. My son was even jailed due to not getting right medicine and treatments because he wasn't stabilized. They all went by his ''wrong'' history and never once would listen to me. I cant find a lawyer with ''balls'' enough to help me. I have all the proof/witness.

Re: Wrongly diagnosed several times

If you feel so strongly about your case why don't you bring it pro se. You may want to talk to a lawyer for guidance.

If you want a lawyer but the damages and liklihood of success scare most of the lawyers perhaps you can fund the case. Maybe you can put your money behind a case you obviously believe in.
