if I fall and get injured at a business are they liable

It all depends on what caused you to fall....if there were debris laying around or a defective condition then possibly. If it was a pure accident without any negligence by the business owner or property owner then probably not. Just in case there was negligence I suggest taking photos, if you can, get the names and contact info of any witnesses and ask the business owner to file/create an accident or incident report and ask them to sign it (they will probably not want to but worth a try).
