I am sorry to hear about your accident. Your injury has value; the issue, however, is the dentist's liability. In order to make a case, you need to be able to say what caused you to fall. Without a further investigation which would reveal exactly what caused you to fall, it is difficult to fully assess your case.

I would recommend that you go back to the accident as soon as possible and take pictures of whatever defect caused you to fall.

Unless you can pinpoint the cause of your fall, establishing liability or fault on the part of the dentist is extremely difficult.

It is certainly worth investigating the case to see if there is potential liability. Do not dispose of the sneakers for any reason. I suggest hiring an attorney and having them use an investigator to research liability. I do not suggest going back yourself at this point. I am sorry for your injury. But the answer to your question is, as you can guess by your popularity with the lawyers here at lawguru.com, 'yes'. You can sue. This would be covered by your dentists liability insurance.

The other lawyers have covered the ground quite well. But there is one point in which you may have an interest in choosing a lawyer: while most lawyers ask for 1/3 of the recovery, you may negotiate for a lower percentage. Especially in a personal injury case.
