Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

Thermersol Vaccination

I have a case with Douglas and London for sometime now and even though I call and send emails I never get a call back or even an answer regarding how my son's case is doing. My question is can I go to another lawyer who would care enough to keep me informed or do I just pester and bother them until I get what I want. Please help me help my son because I really don't know what to do.

Thanks,

Vivian

Re: Thermersol Vaccination

You always have the right to use a lawyer of your choice and you should feel comfortable with your attorneys, since they are handling an extremely important matter for you and your family. You are not obligated to stay with your original attorney if you are not happy with them. Please feel free to contact me should you wish to discuss this further.

You are entitled to discharge your attorney at anytime for cause or for no cause. I would be happy to discuss this matter further.

Vivian,

Your attorney should always get back to you within one business day. To have your calls go unanswered or unreturned is totally unacceptable and unprofessional. You can absolutely switch attorneys at any point, but you should find a new attorney before terminating your current attorneys so that there is no lapse in representation.

If you would like to discuss your case, or get a referral in your area, you may contact me via email.

Good luck.

Re: Thermersol Vaccination

As Mr. Levinson mentioned, you always have a right to go to another attorney if you do not feel comfortable with the response you receive. Unfortunately sometimes attorneys lose sight of their clients not on purpose, but because of other reasons. If you absolutely cannot get in contact with your attorney then you should look elsewhere, but you should never feel obligated to stay especially if you are not comfortable.

Best of luck to you.
