Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

If a father and son own a property together (join tenants with full rights of survivorship) and the father dies with liens/judgements against him, do the leins/judgements transfer to the son or are they dissolved upon his death?

If you didn't guarantee your father's debts, you aren't personally responsible for your father's debts. However, they MAY have a claim against your father's estate. The executor should take care of the probate matter and paying your father's creditors out of his estate.
