Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
Land owner with drive shared
on my deed it has nothing about shared driveway but on the neighbors it does back in 1950's. we bought the house in 1981 and I have nothing in there and wonder if I have a leg to stand on with it being my land..I pay the taxes on it and need advice please

Hi:
From the small amount of facts supplied it appears that you may have some problem.. If you neighbor has been encroaching on your property for the time that you have been there, and that conduct is open, notorious and hostile, then the doctrine of adverse possession may give you a problem. Good Luck
