Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

What rights does a person have to a house that they inherited 1/3 of, yet In 51 yrs, they have never lived there nor contributed to the yearly taxes nor upkeep? It was a 1/3 split between 11 siblings, but only 2 siblings are left, and 1 of them have lived in the house and paid all bills (taxes and upkeep) for the last 33 yrs.

I would need to see the deed to understand just what you inherited. Whether you lived there or contributed doesn't negate your ownership interest. Call me tomorrow at 914 760 6059 or text me or email me at [email protected]

Don't feel guilty...they haven't paid rent, either. I would be voncrned about the tensnts in possession claiming adverse possession. You should get counsel asap.
