Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Storage

We are month to month tenants and the landlord has asked us to remove 200 lbs of items we have stored on plywood planks in the garage. He contends it is damaging the garage door unit. We disagree. Do we have to take down the items?

Re: Storage

If you do not revmove the items, he can give you 30 days to remove yourself from the premises.

You are at the mercy of the landlord because you are a month to month tenant.

If you don't leave the premises he can serve you with eviction papers after 30 days.
