Legal Question in Social Security Law in New York

my daughter's father past away a few years ago....we were not married and involved at the time of his death...I would like to know it she's entitled to received death benefits even though her father was working under different name.

If his name appears on her birth certificate or if he acknowledged her as his child she is entitled to collect benefits on his record until her eighteenth birthday.
