Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

In new york state, if a will that includes real estate worth $400k+ is not probated for almost 5 years, is the will valid?

Will should always be valid whenever submitted for probate. I am more concerned about what has happened over the years; such as who paid the bills such as real estate taxes, insurance and any other bills. Was this the only estate asset? If not, what has happened to any other assets?

A delay alone would not invalidate the will.
