Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in North Carolina

A Motion For Sanctions For Failure To Participate In Arbitration

I need advice! Do I need a Lawyer, consultation, or just advice. I have to appear for a Motion For Sanctions For Failure To Participate In Arbitration. This Motion was filed to stop the Trial De Novo. I requested the Trial De Novo because I never recieved any notification of the Arbitration which was held without me. The notices for the Arbitration were sent to a wrong address, which I can prove. The plantiff has a lawyer that's trying to keep me from stating my case and I'm afraid that without one representing me, an unfair judgement will be awarded against me to the plantiff.

You probably need an attorney to help you make the record and convince the Judge of the events. Your lack of notice should be a good defense, but there are many procedural pitfalls here, and you would be well-advised to obtain a lawyer to assist you.
