Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in North Carolina

Number of years after an incident I can file a civil lawsuit against the Housing

I would like to know how much time I have to file a civil lawsuit after an incident has taken place. Also, how do I go about doing it. Can I go to the clerk of courts office and file mytself to get it on the record so I will not run out of time?

The time you have to file a suit depends on the nature of your claim, which is not presented. Also, filing a lawsuit is very complicated and you should consult with an attorney about that. You may be able to find some information about the process at your clerk's office.
