Legal Question in Constitutional Law in North Carolina

I am in a Chorus college class and I am also an early college high school student. My dress rehearsal for the concert is on the same day and time as my Confirmation which I have been attending class for for 2 years and also paid money for. This is a BIG deal in Catholic faith and cannot simply be rescheduled. Since I do meet with the bishop. My dress rehearsal and concert count as my final exam kind of. I have attended all my classes except for one this whole semester. My teachers and I talked to him about the situation and he said he would not budge. He said if I don't go to this dress rehearsal I will fail his class causing me an F on my college transcript and high school transcript. To which I do not find fair as it is a religious obligation. So could I sue him? What are the chances of me winning?

Suing would not be fruitful. A lawsuit could take years to resolve eve if you win.

If the teacher is not budging, you need to speak to the administration at the school and explain the issue and they will likely find a resolution.
