Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

Civil Summons for credit card debt

I recieved a Civil Summons for a credit card debt on a credit card that I didn't apply for. They are wanting 1,189.15. This amount includes intrest. What do I do, since I do not remember ever having this credit card, and do not have a job(homemaker), or means of paying the debt? Thanks!

Re: Civil Summons for credit card debt

You need to either hire an attorney or represent yourself. You are being sued - if you don't respond correctly and in a timely manner, they will get a judgment against you whether or not you actually owe any money.
