Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

I am being sued in Orlando, FL by an auto finance company. I currently live in Raleigh, NC. I attempted to settle with them, with 1 year of monthly payments, which they declined to accept. I mailed a request to the Clerk of the Court 10 days prior to the court date to have the proceedings moved closer to where I live because I could not afford to travel to Orlando, FL at this time. I never received a response regarding this. The next correspondence I received was a Final Judgment.

Is there anything that I can do? Can I appeal? How exactly do I do that? I'm willing to pay the debt, however, I can't pay it all at once and I can't travel to Florida to appear in court.

Any assistance that you can provide would be HUGELY appreciated.

You need to call and speak to a Florida debt defense attorney. Unfortunately, a state court can't move a proceeding to another state for convenience. They can do it if you can show that Florida never had jurisdiction over you.
