Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina

How can I block someone from having an arrest warrant issued for me if a citation has already been issued? How do I protect myself if I am falsely accused? The witnesses there all had to submit statements, yet those statements would be considered as hearsay and not admissible in court. I understand that I would have to pay the persons should they be subpoena to come to court. I am out of work because of this and unable to find employment because of this. I cant afford an attorney and I don't trust court appointed attorneys due to past situations.

How can I block someone from having an arrest warrant issued for me if a citation has already been issued? You can't - at least not legally. I suppose you could inform local magistrates of the citation so that they would be less likely to issue a warrant.

How do I protect myself if I am falsely accused? Well, the first course of action is to not do things to put yourself in a situation to be 'falsely accused'. If that fails - hire an attorney!

The witnesses there all had to submit statements, yet those statements would be considered as hearsay and not admissible in court. Depends on the statements - statements taken at the request of an officer can often be admitted if taken in the presence of the officer and in the course of their regular duties, especially if included in a 'report'. There are other hearsay exceptions as well.

I understand that I would have to pay the persons should they be subpoena to come to court. You understand incorrectly.

I am out of work because of this and unable to find employment because of this. I cant afford an attorney and I don't trust court appointed attorneys due to past situations. Based on your understanding of the law in your question, you are likely no worse off with a court appointed attorney than you would be representing yourself.
