Is there a question here or is this just a cookie cutter story about something most every parent ever has to deal with all that we have to work with? So . . . took a coat, eh? That's a new one. Mom trying desperately to assert authority and control over daughter seeing her lame boyfriend - incredibly common and almost always not only a complete waste of everyone's time - especially the Court's and law enforcement but also destructive to the mother - daughter relationship. Tell mom that she ain't in control of crap when it comes to a normal healthy 17 year old girl and even if she has the illusion of control, at best she can likely only do this crazed control crap for a year probably less. When the girl turns eighteen, she'll give mom the finger and won't speak to mom until the girl is like 25 realizes mom was right and not so crazy after all. Does mom really wanna go through all of that just to attempt (unsuccessfully I might add) to keep the daughter away from her boyfriend? Of course she does! That's why this scenario is so common and has played out exactly like this over and over again for generations. 17 year old girls are often stupid kids who have to screw up and experience their own mistakes to become wise caring mothers who in turn will try to stop their own 17 year old daughters from making the same mistakes they did. Best of luck!
