aiding and abetting

i live in va but was charged with aiding and abetting a dwi in nc. my son took my keys without permission while i was asleep in my truck outside a bar waiting for my husband to stay the weekend in the outer banks for my birthday. my son stopped at a store and called the police because we were followed from the bar and was arrested for dwi. he then told the cops i was driving and they came back to the store an hour later and gave me a ticket for the above and here i am. what can i do?

If your keys were taken from your possession by your somewhat intoxicated son, while you were asleep, how could you have aided or abetted him in his DWI?

You should obviously contest this ticket and, unfortunately, you may need the services of a North Carolina attorney in order to do it successfully.
