Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

I have a 17 year old daughter who will no longer allow for parental control and has decided that she is going to drop out of high school. If she does so, can I petition the court to remove her child support obligation from me and consider her emancipated?

What do you mean "will no longer allow for parental control"? Children don't get the choice to allow or not. Are you saying you or whoever has primary custody can't control her? If so, why not - she's a child you simply make her do as you wish. As to your child support obligation - her dropping out of school and thinking she can 'take control' of her life doesn't mean she is emancipated and will not relieve you of your child support obligation.
