Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

I'm in the middle of a custody battle with no finances for an attorney, however the other party has one. I'm doing everything on my part correct as far as having clothes, bed, bedroom, food and all the essentials he needs here with me while he's here. The other party however doesn't give our child the time of day, doesn't even reside with our child! As of late, the other party has been probing our 7 year old with cameras to take pictures of my home to try and use against me (there is nothing wrong, but I'm sure he's caught bad moments, I do have a toddler here that pulls all toys out constantly). I know morally it's wrong to put the child in that position, but legally I'm not sure.. Also, they have been calling my apartment complex trying to get us evicted basically saying we have farm in here, lying of course, they come out to check with every phone call. They have been asking my landlord for my address (I have given it to them numerous times). I just need to know what I can do. Not being biased but I deserve the child, I give the time deserved while the other parent is never around!

Take all your thoughts of things like 'fairness' 'moral' right' deserving' and just toss those away - those are fantasy land words. We live in the real word and in the real world of hillbilly, good 'ol boy North Carolina, those words have about the same worth as used toilet paper. Despite what is embedded into the stone work of most North Carolina Court houses - the hard cold reality is that you often get as much justice as you can afford. If you can not afford an attorney and can not find any legal assistance, your best bet is to educate yourself on every aspect of relevant child custody law and / or hope you luck out and get one of the few Judges who have work ethic and integrity. Best of luck to you.
