Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

If I'm paying my wife support do the support payments continue if she moves in with another man or gets remarried? Whether it is spousal or child support does it matter in the state of North Carolina?

Depends. You don't say whether the support is court ordered, by a formal agreement such as a separation agreement or because you a nice guy. If the support is court ordered or by some sort of agreement, the order or agreement should state the conditions under which the support would stop. If you are not court ordered or otherwise signed an agreement to provide support and are doing it because you are a nice guy - you can stop that anytime. Whether it is spousal or child support makes a great deal of difference. You will have a much harder time weaseling out of child support as opposed to spousal support.
