Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

My step-daughters mother lives in a 1 bedroom apartment. Her current boyfriend and his daughter also stay there as well. Every other weekend when everyone is there together, the kids sleep in the floor in the living room. Is there a law against this? Shouldn't the kids be in a bed in a room and not stuck in the living room?

No there's no specific law against it. If they are on the floor with blankets and pillows and popcorn, watching TV and having fun - that's fine. If they are on a dirty floor, infested with roaches and trash. with no blanket, no pillow - that's a problem. Because there is no specific law, you basically just have to use common sense when trying to decide if something's worth getting concerned about.
