Legal Question in Civil Litigation in North Carolina

I discussed purchasing a product over the phone for $25.00.

When the invoice came, it was for $50.00.

When I inquired about the original price, I was told because of the change I made, the fee doubled.

I have never taken possession of the product. I never signed an agreement. Am I responsible for paying for this?

The product was a sew-out for some embroidering work. On shirts etc...

Depends, if you gave credit card info and they have charged your card you may have to go through your card issuer to get your money back. If you have given no payment info and the product does not meet your expectations it is likely you can return it without being obligated to pay.
