time limit on filing a case
how long do i have to file a suit in raleigh/durham area against a physician at duke medical center. incident happened on or about august 6th 2004

It's always wise to consult a lawyer about that to make sure he or she knows all the facts. But in general, the medical malpractice statute of limitations would be 3 years.
