If a person dies without specifying in a will who gets their home, what happens if there are multiple children and only hearsay on what is to happen to the home?

The law of intestate succession controls when the will doe snot pass the home. First, the will would be looked at closely to see if there is any clause that would pass the home. If the will have a residual clause (everything else goes to this person(s)), typically the home would fall under that first.
