Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina

I got pulled over driving 84mph in a 50mph zone. G.s. 20-141 (j1). Also cited for not having a passenger properly strapped in that is less than 16 years old g.s 20-137 .1. What are the possibly consequences and penalties, should I hire a traffic lawyer, also will I be able to plea down to a lesser charge... thia happened in Richmond county North Carolina. There is no question that you need an experience traffic attorney (a priest may also help if you are religious lol). You are charged with a serious criminal traffic offense. If it goes through as is you are looking at a suspension of your driving privilege and very likely a huge insurance increase. Depending on the policies of the District Attorney for Richmond County, it may be possible to have these charges reduced in some fashion.
