Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina

I recieved a civil citation for speeding in a residentual nieborhood. 25 mph in a 15 mph zone. It states it is from "Metro special police and public safety, acting as agents of the property, has issued this civil citation on behalf of property management.

I also reads "failure to make payment may resort in lease termination further civil action or eviction etc.

Is this a real requirement to pay? What is the exposure to ignoring?

Depends on if you are a lessee in that neighborhood. If so check your lease, if there's nothing in there about the speed camera, they would be hard pressed to evict you or even to successfully sue you civilly. Even if they try to evict for violations of residential speed zones, they will most likely not be able to put you behind the wheel with mere camera evidence. People brake rules not cars. If you are a visitor and not a leesee you can ignore it and there most likely isn't squat all they can do about it - except maybe bar you from the neighborhood.
