Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in North Carolina

What are my rights

My husband is dying of cancer and he is planning to make a

will soon. He has children from a previous marriage which

he wants to disclude from the will. We have 1 daughter

together. Can he will everything to me then upon my death

everything to her alone? The deed to our home is in both

his name and mine.We don't want our daughter to face

unessary conflict, she's never met her half-siblings.

By the way I have 1 child from a previous marriage also.

I have an insurance policy made payable to him alone upon

my death so he doesn't get left out.We just feel since she

is OUR only child we want her to recieve everything that our

marriage has produced. Also should we have seperate wills

or can they be combined into one? We do have seperate living wills.
