Can my boss make me work a different shift than what I was hired to work after returning to work?

Re: Trial return to work

Depends on the facts. Whether a job is suitable has been the subject of numerous decisions. In one case of mine, an offered job on a different shift was held not suitable because of the client's child care needs. Generally, it helps if there is some issue rather than mere convenience involved.

The specifics of your situation should be discussed with an experienced workers' comp attorney. Good luck.
