Legal Question in Health Care Law in North Dakota

medical records/north dakota

I want copies of my deceased fathers medical records from the hospital in which he died. They are refusing to give them to me. Another hospital that he was in recently sent them without argument. What can I do?

I don't know what the reason is for their refusal, but you should ask them to put it in writing. Also, ask the head of records department for explanation.

You can ask your father's primary care doctor to get it and give it you. Also, a lawyer can get them should you decide to hire one.
