Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Dakota

I bet on a the Kentucky Derby. I had to leave before the race so I left my ticket with a friend and told him I would be back later to meet him if my horses win. The ticket ended up being worth $11,500. He wants $2,000 to give it back. Do I have to give him anything? Is he entitled to anything?

Doesn't sound like much of a friend.

Was there an agreement on having him hold the ticket?

If he was just to hold the ticket and let you know the results he would have no right to the ticket or the money.
