If i do not pay my credit cards can they garnish my wages?

They would first need to file a lawsuit against you, obtain a judgement, then execute on that judgement. So eventually they can but it is a long process.

Yes. However, a lot of credit card companies sell your debt to debt collection companies who are paid a percentage of what they recover. These companies often file lawsuits and attempt to obtain judgments. These companies also fail to file the appropriate paperwork which often results in their complaints being thrown out or dismissed. I have saved clients thousands because these collection companies don't follow the rules.

Before you just give in, call an attorney. Perhaps they can work out a payment plan, reduce the amount owed or win the case all together relieving you from payments.
