Legal Question in DUI Law in Ohio

My son who is 18 years old, is schedule for court tomorrow. He saw a bag of pot on the ground wrap in a plastic bag. He picked up the drugs and placed it in his bookbag.

Later that day, the school contacted the police and the police did a drug run in the school. The dogs noticed the pot in my son locker.

My son was supended from school for five days and the police locked my son for drug abuse. I had to paid a fee (bond) to get my son out of jail.

Should my son plead not guilty?

I do not have any money to hired a attorney. Please give us free advice.

Thank you.

If you can't hire an attorney your son needs to request a public defender at his next hearing. This is not a case he can defend alone and since he is 18 you can not advise him in court. This could be serious. Get an attorney.
