Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio

Is it legal for a company to slander me to my customer and then lose them?

Is it legal for someone working for another company to say something false about me to one of my customers and in turn I lose that customer? Is there a law protecting me from this?

Depending on the context of the false statment, you could have a claim for libel, slander, and interference with a contract. Without knowing the context and subject matter of the false statement it is difficult to provide more insight. Please contact me, and I will be happy to provide you with a free consultation. 216.241.2500
