Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Ohio

I recently applied for a tattoo apprentice position. I was interviewed as well as a female applicant (both interviews where done at the same time). The tattoo artist doing the interview was a female as well. After the interview process was finished she simply replyed being that all the artists here are woman. Im gonna hire her, was wondering if thats decrimination because I was a male applying for a position in an all female work place.

Unless being a female is a requirement of the job (bona fide occupational qualification), a refusal to hire you on the basis of your sex violates federal and state law in Ohio; this type of practcie could also possiblyt violate local law. Local law is soemtimes a good remedy if the tattoo shop does not employ enough people to be covered by federal or state anti-discrimination laws.
