Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

My boyfriend and I live in Franklin county, Ohio, and have been together for about 9 months. Two months ago, his ex girlfriend had his child. She lives in Hardin county, about an hour and fifteen minutes away from us. The baby has my boyfriend's last name and everything, and has attempted to be there throughout the whole pregnancy, but she hasn't let him see the baby since they were in the hospital. So now obviously my boyfriend has a problem with this. We want to attempt to get full custody. We have pictures of her partying almost every weekend since the baby was a week and a half old. I have multiple messages of her threatening to fight me while she was pregnant and me saying "no you are pregnant & I refuse to fight anyways." The mother lives with her mom, step dad (which is an ex heroine addict, and lost custody of his daughter due to child abuse), her 18 yr old sister and her son and fianc, her 11 yr old sister, her younger brother, her and her two children... It's only a 4 bedroom house and the bedrooms are roughly 6'x10' big. She's got multiple pictures of the kids sleeping on the floor, couch, car seat, ect. She does not have beds for either of her children. She has no job, and hasn't ever had a job that lasted longer than roughly four months. She is twenty one, my boyfriend is twenty, and I am twenty two. My boyfriend and I both have steady, decent paying jobs, our own apartment, and almost everything we need to support the baby. We would just like some advice on how to go about this, or how you think it will go?

Has paternity been established? If not that is the first thing that you need to do. Your boyfriend can start the process by going to the local Child Support Enforcement Agency.

In the end, though, you will need to show that it is in your child's best interests to live with your boyfriend and not the mother.
