Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Whose child is this?

My fiance received a letter from the Guernsey

County Child Support Enforcement Agency of Ohio

demanding that he appear at a clinic here in CT

where ''samples for genetic testing will be

collected to assist in the determination of a

parent-child relationship between the above-

named child and yourself, the alleged father.''

Does he have to do this?

Who initiated this letter?

Thank you very much.

Re: Whose child is this?

The request from CSEA is equivalent to a court order, and he must appear or risk being held in contempt. The process was initiated by CSEA probably when the child's mother went on welfare. She believes your fiance to be the father.
