Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Self defense

I have a 6 yrs old step daughter, and I have been taking care of her for the past 4 yrs. Recently, she has started making accusations to her mom, saying that I step on her foot and treat her differently, when she is with me over the weekends. What can I do to protect myself?

Re: Self defense

Are your saying and you and her mother are no longer together and you have weekend visitation? Has this been worked through the court system? If not, I suggest establishing custody and visitation through the court system. Any problems, for example, your stepdaughter's relationship with you, should surface at that time. Or get family counseling in order to understand and do the right thing about what your stepdaughter is trying to communicate.
