Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Divorced as of April 26th,2000 but still not final !

Have been divorced since April 26th but still not legally finalized and don't know what to do.My ex has been fighting over what his retirement is worth and still haven't done the cudro on his 401-k.Took this matter into court again on Aug. 17th and judge still hasn't made a ruling on it. Have been going through this divorce since Sep.1998 and truly don't see no end .Gets very frustrating at times. I would like to know what I should do about this matter and how long legally by law should this take. Please advise me if you can.Thank-you !

There is no hard and fast rule how long a divorce should take. The Qdro is a long and complicated document and often requires several drafts until the pension plan accepts it.

The primary issues I gather are resolved and it is just a matter of putting them down on paper. I would have your attorney call the Court to see what the delay is or at least find out where in the order of preparing the paperwork your case is.
