Time limit for custody

I have been told that custody of a child must be decided

within two years from the start of the case. Is this true?

And if not, is there a time limit?

There is no such statutory time limit for a decision by the court. The only time limit might be pressure from the Ohio Supreme Court in terms of the court only having so long to clear its docket.
