Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Ohio

I evicted a deadbeat renter in Ohio who owes me back rent and damages. He's paying child support to 2 different women so has no income left to be attached. Someone has advised me to put a lien on the person. Is this possible? If it is what does this for for me? I live out of state. Is it something I can do myself or do I need to hire an attorney? .

The following should be interpreted as general advice and is not legal advice and no attorney-client relationship has been formed by my answer to your question:

Let it go. If you've got an individual who owns no real estate, can't pay his rent, and has child support obligations, it would be likely that the money you spend on attorney's fees trying to chase down this guy would seriously outweigh any recovery that you'd get from him. A judgment lien can be used to garnish a paycheck, but that requires that you know where he works and it also requires that an attorney fill out a good deal of paperwork that is filed with the clerk of court's office.
