Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Ohio

landlord

Tenant currently under section 8 housing. Last year section 8 cut what they paid in half, tenant to pay rest. Tenant still owes $1800 at this time.

Section 8 now says must do some repairs or they will no longer pay. Tenant is thinking of moving out because of this. I need tenant to pay what she owes.

What can I do?

Re: landlord

It is a catch 22. If she doesn't pay you don't have the money to fix it up.

You can begin eviction proceedings and ask for a judgment of money against her.

Be careful, though, you must follow the terms of the contract between you and section 8.

She would in all likely move out rather than pay the $1,800. I would also make a bet that she will not pay the june portion. You must act immediately.

If I can be of assistance, please feel free to contact me
