Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio

A dog struck my motorcylce, and caused signifigant damage to the bike, there were no injuries to myself. Is the homeowner required to cover the damage through either insurance, or out of pocket considering the dog was not under control?

Yes. In Ohio with very few exceptions the owner of a dog is liable for damages caused by the dog. In this case the owner was negligent for not controlling the animal. The dog-owners homeownrers insurance policy should provide coverage for thes claim.
