quit claim deed and back child support

My wife bought a house before we were married after we married we had a quit claim deed made from the title co. for survivership.Now she is trying to refinace the house But I owe back child support and the finiace co. said there is a lien on the house for the back support I am not on the loan And i have not signed any papers for anything How do we get my name off of the deed?

Re: quit claim deed and back child support

You can quit claim your interest to your wife, but the existing liens will remain in place until they are paid or expire. If you want to refinance now, you will have to resolve the liens.
