Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio

titles of property

My son-in-law is moving to North Carolina from Ohio. He has a Four Wheeler registered in his name. Can he leave this at his dad's farm in Ohio and sell it later even though he is not a resident of Ohio? I might buy it from him later but I do not want to buy it now and I live in West Virginia?

Re: titles of property

If it is titled like a car, he can leave it here, and give his father a power of attorney to transfer the title to a buyer in the future.
